This place was a huge disappointment. We came in on a Friday night and were the only ones in the restaurant (which makes sense after our experience). After waiting 30 mins for the wait staff to finish arguing over who gets our table; we were finally able to order drinks and a cheese plate. Once we received those we were not approached the rest of the night. We had full intentions of eating here but had to go grab one of the wait staff to get our check. We paid our tab and walked down the street to Manhattans to eat. Will not be returning.
cute little dining establishment, laid back feel. Felt at home and comfortable. Staff could be a bit more attentive however it was a very full place.
Great place if you want to get a bite or a drink. We enjoyed the place. However, when we had a party there I thought their food was sparce and of only medium quality. Expected better for catered event. That said, we returned again and think it may of just been a bad night.
Normally, we have enjoyed our visits to this place. Today was just short of a Greek tragedy. We sat down and were ignored by passing waitresses for about 15min. We finally ordered and 45 min later we received our food. What we received was completely different from what we ordered and had to send it back. I spoke to the manager who did address the issue but blamed it on the new crew and being busy. When we got the meals back mine was still wrong. The point of addressing it was not to place blame. Feedback from customers is supposed to help a manager improve. This guy though he comped us the meal and apologized did so, oozing with attitude. The worst part is we were more than willing to pay for the meal regardless. A apology means squat when you are doing it to shut a customer up and not fix the issue.
We won't be returning. I can handle mistakes in food and service, but I can't handle the bad attitude of management.
On the plus side the food was decent. The chicken and dumplings were good and the chicken salad was a delight. The greek flat bread was very tastey. Too bad attitudes ruined the experience.
The staff, food, and atmosphere at Restoration is amazing and just what Lufkin needed downtown!
