Went into the county clerks office. I was searching through some records. The women in the front were very professional and courteous. I wondered into the back, the ladies back there had a scowl on a their faces. I can understand why they were placed in the back
I have been searching for records related to my grandparents, and have dwelt with several county clerk's offices in the process. The Angelina clerk's office was the least helpful and charged a fee to do a search... the only office to do so. The records could not be searched online- nothing could be done online according to the staff person who assisted me. Staff at other county offices made a point of saying, We are here to help- that is why we are here." Does not appear to be the philosophy in Angelina County.
