Staff are nice. Animals are absolutely gorgeous. Good place to take your kids.
We loved it! Priced very reasonably, very clean and well maintained, reminded me sooo much of a miniature version of the San Diego zoo! Just enough there to keep you busy for a few hours and make a nice little afternoon out of. The train ride around the place was precious and wear your walking shoes so you can hike out the little trail behind the lake - it's very pretty on that little path! Looking forward to doing it again!
This place is priced really low and has a ton of stuff to do. The train ride only charges for the adult tickets and the concession stands are reasonable too. A cheap day of fun for the whole family!
What a surprise the Ellen Trout Zoo was. It was the best "little zoo" we've been to. There was a forest or jungle feel to it with easy to walk paths that were clearly marked. Our grand-daughter wanted to see the hippos right away, because it all started 50 yrs with one hippo. We told her to wait she'll smell them soon enough. To our surprise there was "no smell" to any animal enclosures...not even the rhinos. There were peacocks roaming around that weren't bothered by people. Enjoyed our visit very much.
This was a small piece paradise! Excellent zoo! My family loved it. We travelled from North Arkansas to see this zoo and it did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable on entrance fees, snacks and souvenirs. We will definitely be back! Loved the peacocks they were everywhere and made the zoo a delight!
