But no. I went yesterday and didn’t get to meet who was doing his beak trim. When I got him back it did look weird but I’ve seen it cut down in different ways over the years so we checked out and left. When I got home with him he couldn’t seem to eat. I called them and they said “she cut it shorter than usual to fix the bottom beak”. Huh? Long story short I was on the phone a lot with them last night in hopes they had some kind of formula, but they insisted he would “figure it out” and know how to adjust accordingly. So he can’t eat all night and this morning he continues to drop food. His tongue is longer than the bottom of his beak is probably the main issue. I called them back today to see who saw him and what do you know.... it was the first person he saw who is also the owner of this clinic.
Love it!! The people here are very nice to owners and have treated my pets with great care! The best animal hospital I've been to. Definitely recommend.
I just hope he doesn’t die from lack of being able to eat.
I have several fur babies that Angelina Animal Hospital takes care of. The staff is very compassionate and thorough. Each time my fur babies need attention, they explain what needs to be done and why. Also, they give me prices up front so I know if I can afford what will be done. Unfortunately I lost a fur baby this year after surgery--no fault of Angelina Animal Hospital--but they kept me updated and treated me with compassion and respect. They follow up with how my babies are doing promptly after we are home. I highly recommend Angelina Animal Hospital!
Most unprofessional, unacceptable treatment by a veterinarian staff ever experienced. I had to put my dog down and was told by their staff that it would take one week to get the paw print back. This was the most awful experience of my life and I was counting the days to get the paw print back. More than two weeks passed before I started calling to check on the status. I was offered no explanation or time frame. Today, (this morning), I called and was told that they couldn't find it and that it wasn't there. This had me very worried (and upset) that perhaps it didn't get done before my dog was cremated. I called the office back this day and demanded that I pick up the paw print today, whether it was ready or not. The girl on the phone began talking back to me with an attitude saying it wasn't her that said it would take a week. Being in an emotional state that I was began yelling back and they hung up on me. They called me back and said my paw print would be ready at noon to pick up. I showed up and they escorted me into the same room I had to euthanize my dog and made me wait over 5 minutes, which was torture! The vet, Dr. Syler, and assistant came and shut the door. She explained that it normally takes 6 weeks to complete the print with all the fancy art work and that they are disappointed I am not allowing them to finish it. I couldn't believe their position! Acknowledge that you guys screwed up by telling me that it would take a week and not six weeks. No one called to explain this. You guys just left me hanging, counting the days. Dr. Syler and her staff made me feel like this was my problem and my misunderstanding. Then they called and told me that I was never welcome back, which is fine because they are not my usual vet. Their lack of sensitivity and their lack of ability to accept responsibility for their mistake is pathetic. By the way, I did call back and apologize to them for shouting at them over the phone. They don't have the decency to do the same. Don't go to this vet clinic. Not worth it.
I took my bird here for a beak trim. He has a very awkward beak growth since it’s broken from 4 years ago. The owner I met the first time didn’t trim it down enough. I had to come in earlier than usual to get it done again but I thought that was fine just give me a different vet who can do it. The front desk scheduled me with the “vet who handles birds this time”... so it led me to wonder who the first one I met was. She was younger so it was easier to remember thinking maybe that vet just needs more experience.
Either way, there is nothing I can do now except hope I can keep him handfed with mushy food while I also continue to make a living and try to be able to bring him every where I go in hopes he can be fed and his beak grows back enough to hold food soon.
Days ago I attended this place ..for castration service of my cats .. they had given me a price to charge me ... but when I went to pick them up they charged me more than they had told me the service in reception was horrible since the The person who took care of me (AMY) did not give me the correct information and I also had an attitude that seemed racist to me since when I attended another American person he was very kind. If you read this, I hope it will help you not to pass what to me.
Do not come here if you have birds. Especially if they have an unusual beak growth like mine. I feel lied to that the second vet I was going to see was different and she was the same person who did it wrong the first time. I am kicking myself because I’d rather it not be cut as much than too much like it is now.
